Raymond M. Fowler, age 86 passed away on December 3, 2017 at the Woodland Hills, in Marble Hill, MO.
Raymond was born September 12, 1931 at Fayette, Alabama to Grandpa James Abner and Eula “Herron” Fowler. He and Mary “Stratton” Fowler of 65 years were united in marriage on June 26, 1952.
Raymond enjoyed visiting nursing homes and hospitals. He served many years as a deacon of the Old Liberty Association. Raymond worked in pallet mills with timbers and was hard working but yet a very gentle man. He also worked as a custodian at the Woodland Highschool, also served with the civil defense. Raymond loved cars and motorcycles and one of his favorite motorcycle was his Indian. He loved his family most of all and was loved by all that knew him and will be dearly missed.
Survivors include loving wife Mary Fowler; two daughters, Beverly (Gordon) Weakley of Jackson, MO., Brenda Kay Elfrink of Cape Girardeau MO.; four sisters Mary (Joe) Cobb of Bernie, MO., Shelby Chism of Brighton, IL., Gladys (Ronald) Warren of Minkok, IL., and Sue (Eugene) Hartman of Marston, MO., five grandchildren Timothy (Jamie) Weakley, Brandon Elfrink, Jacob (Jeanie) Weakley, late Lucas Elfrink, Bethany Elfrink, five great-grandchildren Kyle Weakley, Samantha Weakley, Shannon Weakley, late Taylar Weakley, Lillian Weakley; two great-great grandchildren Kaylee and Torin.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters Helen Evans and Betty Cobb, and one grandson Lucas Elfrink and one great granddaughter Taylar Weakley.
Visitation will be Wednesday, December 6, 2017 from 10:00 A.M. to 11:00 A.M. at the Liley Funeral Home in Marble Hill, Missouri. Funeral Service will follow at 11:00 A.M. at the Liley Funeral Home with Rev. Phillip Jordan officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. Zion Cemetery near Marble Hill, MO.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Mt. Zion Church or Cemetery.
