Frances Collier (Wagner)
Frances Evelyn Collier, (84), of Marble Hill, MO., went home to be with her Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ on August 3, 2018.
She was born July 7, 1934, in Glen Allen, MO., to Frank and Mable Wagner. Frances married Ralph Collier on February 6, 1955. They had six children, Rhonda, Esther, Beverly, Charles, Michael, and Brian.
Frances was saved during a revival at Glen Allen Baptist Church in May of 1945, at the age of eleven. Because of her salvation, it prepared her for her death and is the cause of our rejoicing today. She faithfully served her Lord Jesus Christ for many years in the Bus Ministry and Senior Saints Ministry at New Salem Baptist Church in Marble Hill, MO. During her later years she was a devoted member of Victory Baptist Temple of Piedmont, MO.
Frances was a dedicated wife, mother, and grandmother. She gave her family an example of hard work, diligence, hospitality, service to others, contentment, and giving. She never sought to lay up for herself treasures on earth. Material things and money were not important to her.
“Others” were the motto of her life. She loved making quilts, especially for her family and mission work. Her pleasant smile, calm demeanor, and eagerness to help others will be greatly missed by friends and family. She invested her time, her energy, and her life in that which was eternal. It was very common for her to tell people how they could know Heaven was their home. Eternity was ever on her mind and heart.
Frances is survived by sons, Charles (Sherri), Marble Hill, MO, Michael (Debbie), Vilonia, AR, and Brian (Melissa), Marble Hill, MO; daughters, Rhonda Fahrenkrog (James), Oak Ridge, MO, Esther McCormick, and Beverly Lincoln (Gary), Marble Hill, MO; brothers, Frank Wagner, Jr., St. Louis, MO, Richard Wagner, Brooklet, GA, and James Wagner, Webster Groves, MO; sisters, Wilma Besher, Marquand, MO, and Ruth Dobbs, Puxico, MO, 21 grandchildren and 30 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph Collier; her parents, Frank and Mable (Hale) Wagner; stepmother, Susan Alexander; two brothers, Charles Wagner and Robert Wagner; four sisters, Delores Martin, Vicky Bracher, Martha Wagner, and Mary Lebb; and a grandson, Lance Fahrenkrog.
Visitation will be held on Monday, August 6, 2018 from 4:00 to 8:00 PM at the Liley Funeral Home in Marble Hill, MO. The funeral service will be Tuesday, August 7, 2018 at 10:30 AM at the funeral home with Pastor Michael Collier and Pastor Randall Perkey officiating. Burial will follow at the Glen Allen Baptist Cemetery.
