Obituary

Gary Lee “Butch” Hahn, age 74, of Sedgewickville, Missouri; passed away on Sunday, February 24, 2019 at his residence.

He was born on July 25, 1944 in Cape Girardeau, MO; son of Denver and Dorothy Yount Hahn. Gary and Clara Yamnitz Hahn were united in marriage on September 29, 1962.

Gary was a mechanic throughout his life working on everyone else’s cars before his own. He enjoyed driving and racing his 1965 Ford Mustang, playing cards, dominos, hunting, collecting guns, and the latest joy was building his model trains. Gary was known to be a great story teller but most of all he was known to be a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, and friend to anyone he knew.

Survivors include his wife Clara of the home, two daughters Constance Grace (Greg) Conway of Sedgewickville, MO., and Sandra Lea (Brian) McCain of Farmington, MO; six grandchildren Travis Hahn, Aaron Conway, Tesa McCain, Michael Conway, Michelle Conway, Brittany McCain; twelve great-grandchildren; and many cousins and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother Edsel Hahn, one son in-law Victor Turner

Visitation will be on Wednesday, February 27, 2019 from 9:00 A.M. to 1:00 P.M. at the Liley Funeral Home in Patton, MO.

Funeral Services will be conducted 1:00 P.M Wednesday, February 27, 2019 at the Funeral Home with Rev. Bob Eisnenhauer and Rev. Michael Davis officiating. Interment will follow in the Yount Community Cemetery, near Perryville.

In lieu of flowers, donations are appreciated to the Yount Community Cemetery Association
