Donna was an incredible wife, mother, sister, daughter, and friend. She laughed easily, and one did not stay downhearted when Donna’s laughter filled the air. She was a wonderful cook/baker and was always gracious to anyone who entered her home. She was also an extraordinary needle worker, dressmaker & tailoress throughout her life, creating beautiful formal wear for hundreds of people, and putting exceptional care into closets of clothing and Halloween costumes for her beloved grandchildren. Donna’s thoughtfulness was remarkable, remembering relatives’ birthdays & anniversaries with handpicked cards. She always remained curious and read extensively, sharing things of interest with the Blue Creek Quilters as they worked and visited around many years of quilts. She was a member of Reagan’s Chapel UMC and UMW. She was a long-time volunteer at the harvest festival and other church work.
Donna was buried next to her beloved husband in a private service at Yount Community Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the giver’s favorite charity to help those less fortunate. One suggestion of such is, Crown Hospice, who cared so wonderfully for Donna in her last days – see https://crownhospice.net/donations/ for details concerning donations.
